Abstract: 

After presenting a brief history of cybersecurity data science, I'll discuss different cybersecurity data science specializations, such as malware detection and intrusion detection. The workshop will also introduce prominent practitioners and companies within the cybersecurity data science field. Finally, I'll cover pathways to becoming a cybersecurity data scientist.

Pathways to Being a Cybersecurity Data Scientist - Understand different career profiles for becoming a cybersecurity data scientist.

Backgound Knowledge
I'll assume basic machine learning knowledge.

Bio: 

John Speed Meyers is a security data scientist at Chainguard. His interests include software supply chain security, open source software security and applications of data science to cybersecurity. He has a.PhD in policy analysis from the Pardee RAND Graduate School.
