Abstract: 

Generative AI and large language models have transformative potential for nearly every industry and enterprise. However, building the models that power generative AI applications on your own with traditional cloud or datacenter systems is complex and costly; using third party services is expensive and compromises data security, IP, method, and model ownership.

In this talk, Dr Andy Hock from Cerebras Systems will describe their revolutionary AI compute platform and services, with a focus on relevant customer use cases, model development methods, datasets, and example results from real world applications.

This talk is aimed at data science and AI/ML research practitioners, and business leaders / AI strategists alike. The audience will leave with a view into some of the latest GPT genAI models, datasets, methods, and real-world business use cases, as well as insight into Cerebras’ revolutionary AI computing platform and GPT/LLM development services to transform data and AI initiatives into industry-leading generative AI solutions.

Bio: 

Andy Hock is VP of Product Management at Cerebras Systems. Andy was the Senior Director of Advanced Technologies at Skybox Imaging, makers of high-resolution satellites, when the company was purchased by Google in 2014 for $500M. After the acquisition, he continued on as Product Manager at Google before joining the team at Cerebras. Prior to Skybox, Andy was the Senior Program Manager, business development lead and a Senior Scientist for Arete Associates. He holds a PhD in Geophysics and Space Physics from UCLA.
