Abstract: Data science seems to be everywhere these days - but what about spatial analytics? Data scientists who do not include location in their analysis are missing out on critical insights that could make or break a business strategy. Because everything has a geography, every analysis should include a geospatial component to truly model real world activities and relationships. Join SafeGraph and CARTO to learn how fresh and accurate places data can be analyzed with cutting edge spatial analytics tools to reveal market trends, consumer behavior patterns, and economic insights.
Bio: Fletcher Berryman is a lifelong geographer currently serving as a product manager for SafeGraph with a focus on international spatial data. At work and beyond, Berryman is most drawn to research questions that involve the intersection of geographers’ traditional considerations of “space and place” with modern technologies previously unavailable for use in examination, especially in developing economies. Outside of SafeGraph, Berryman is a co-chair of the world's largest geospatial meetup (GeoNYC) and a research associate at the University of Chicago's Center for Spatial Data Science.
