Future proofing your skills in 2018 and beyond

Abstract: 

In my talk, I will start by introducing “Lygometry” which is a process where you measure things you know that you do not know. I will cover the importance of learning path and discovering knowing what we don’t know. I will provide a detailed analysis of core technologies required to future-proof their careers as a Data Scientist. Followed by comparing the skill gaps, technology themes, learning paths for the respective theme, strategies to accelerate learning, the importance of choosing a mentor, where to learn from and learning approaches with personal and family commitments.

Bio: 

Deepak Vadithala (DV) is a Qlik Luminary for three times (2014, 2017 and 2018). He is working as a Head of BI & Analytics for JPMorgan & Chase. He is pursuing his part-time masers degree (MSc Data Science) from the University of London. He is well known community contributor, blogger and author of multiple Qlik courses on Udemy. Deepak taught Qlik courses to over 1600 students across the world and he spent a lot of time interacting and understanding the needs of aspiring developers.

Deepak is also a Web Developer and interest in Machine Learning techniques. He has good understanding of BI and Database technologies and beyond. He presented at Data Science Festival conference in 2017, speaker at QlikDevGroup meet up events and Qlik Qonnections conference in 2018.
