Abstract: Apache Superset is a modern, open-source data exploration & visualization platform that replaces proprietary BI tools for many organizations. I've been a contributor and developer advocate for the Superset project for the last 1.5 years. In this hands-on workshop, I hope to go deep into how Superset works, how to build charts & dashboards, and answer any questions people have.
Session Outline
Lesson 1: Creating Charts & Dashboards in Superset
I'll start by quickly showcasing how to use the tool, assuming you already have everything setup. I'll walkthrough a real example that I've done myself.
Lesson 2: Setting up & Configuring Superset
Next, I'll take a step back to walkthrough different options for installing Superset, how to configure database connections, which databases are supported, etc.
Lesson 3: Semantic Layer, Caching, and more
I'll end by showcasing some of the more powerful features in Superset, like how to work with the simple caching & semantic layers in Superset.
