Abstract: This half-day, 3 hrs program aims to offer attendees an authentic intermediate learning experience. By following the comprehensive outline that accompanies the book """"Confident Data Science: Discover The Essential Skills of Data Science,"""" the workshop will guide participants through a series of notebooks, with examples, and exercises. Attendees should have prior knowledge of Jupyter notebooks and other beginner topics such as Python, Pandas, SciKit Learn, data visualization, and related tools. This workshop aims to provide a well-rounded learning experience for emerging or rising intermediate data scientists.
Designed specifically for individuals who have surpassed beginner-level tasks in data science, this session caters to those who may seek to solidify and strengthen skills and knowledge acquired from previous learning experiences. Attendees will gain hands-on experience and practical knowledge, better equipping them with the necessary skills to move on to tackle more complex data science training programs, challenges, or projects.
The program will bridge the gap between introductory and advanced data science topics. The main format will include demonstration, followed by independent (but monitored and facilitated) work time. This interactive format encourages collaboration and allows attendees to apply their newfound knowledge to new examples and scenarios.
By attending this program, emerging or rising intermediate data scientists will hone their technical abilities, and build confidence in their data science skills. This workshop will enhance attendee proficiency in Python, Jupyter Notebooks, Pandas, SciKit, data visualization, and other relevant tools.
In summary, this half-day program provides an ideal platform for intermediate-level data scientists to expand their knowledge, refine their skills, and gain the confidence needed to excel in the ever-evolving field of data science.
