
Abstract: During this session, Kerry Weinberg, VP Data at League, will speak about how the digital health company is applying data science to help people live healthier and happier lives.
This talk will cover several opportunities and challenges when applying data science and machine learning in the healthcare industry, and specifically within digital health as well as from Kerry’s previous experience at a large biotechnology company. Topics that will be explored include an overview of the opportunities to use analytics to better understand people’s risk of disease, adherence to treatment, and managing or improving their conditions. Kerry will expound upon the challenges faced when applying and integrating data science and machine learning in healthcare. Attendees will also learn about how League is helping people lead healthier and happier lives through their digital health platform.
Bio: Kerry Weinberg leads Data at League, North America's leading Health OS. Before joining League, Kerry led Data Science & Engineering for Amgen's Digital Health & Innovation where her team applied machine learning to better understand human disease, improve Amgen's ability to reach patients, and improve patient outcomes. Before joining Amgen, Kerry received her MBA and M.S. Biological Engineering from MIT as part of the Leaders for Global Operations Program. She previously led systems engineering efforts for high-speed cell sorters at Beckman Coulter. Kerry holds a B.S. Biological Engineering also from MIT.
