Schedule, Sessions & Conference Passes Information

  • Limited Attendance

    To accommodate social distancing, our in-person event will be limited to a maximum of 850 training and other attendees per day.  If you wish to attend in person we recommend you purchase your place early as passes will be limited.

  • Safety First

    COVID Precautions: currently there are no mask or vaccination mandates in Boston, MA. That may change and we encourage the attendees to take these steps to the level that they are comfortable.  In addition, if you are experiencing any of the symptoms identified in the symptoms section below you should not attend in person. We encourage those who cannot meet this criterion to consider our Virtual attendance. Additional precautions are listed in the In-Person SAFETY MEASURES section below.

  • Yes, you can upgrade your current pass. If you would like to attend more sessions than your pass allows, please email info@odsc.com as soon as possible.

  • Generally, sponsor passes are equivalent to gold passes which provide access to the training sessions April 19th-21st.

Scholarship passes are not interchangeable and cannot be upgraded.

Yes, you can transfer your pass to a colleague up to 7 days (April 12th) before the conference. Our support team can transfer your ticket to another person. Please, provide us with new attendee’s email address, full name and job title in order to make adjustments. 

Yes, there is a discount for Alumni. Please e-mail info@odsc.com for your dedicated discount.

Scholarship passes are not interchangeable and cannot be upgraded.

  • If you are unable to complete your ticket purchase online using a major credit card, you may request to pay via Purchase Order.  
  • Please submit your request via the Purchase Order request form.

No refunds will be granted for any reason within 30 days of the first day of the event. Transfer requests for the same event can be granted up to 7 days prior to the Event.

Refunds within 60 days of the first day of the event will be granted minus a 50% event administration fee.  Full details of our policy including transfers are available herePlease email info@odsc.com with the details of your request.

The main ODSC networking reception will take place in the Expo Hall (Hall B) on Wednesday, April 20th from 5-7 PM. Drinks and hors-d’oeuvres will be served.

  • Please note: In order to keep ticket costs down, lunch is not included with your ticket, but is available for purchase at the venue and at nearby establishments.
  • Lunch will be available for purchase in Hall C (Expo Hall) on Wed, Thur from 1 – 2 pm and as well there are options in the prudential center which are connected to Hynes Convention Center.
  • Elsewhere inside the venue: Capital Grille
  • Nearby: There are hundreds of dining options available just steps from the Hynes including at the Prudential Center (accessible directly from the Hynes).

Coffee stations will be set up twice daily throughout the Expo Hall (Hall C) at approximately 10:30 am and 1:30 pm.

Getting There

Yes, ODSC has arranged for a discounted room block at some of the Boston hotels. We recommend you book your hotel as soon as possible as rooms within our block fill up quickly.

Current Hotel Deals

Within a three-block walk of the Hynes Convention Center are numerous parking garages totalling over 4,400 spaces. There is limited meter parking available around the Hynes and adjacent streets. Download a PDF guide of nearby garages for a full list of options from Hynes website.

Detailed information about transportation options including customised driving directions and an interactive Public Transportation map is available on the Hynes website.

  • Airport Transfers: The Hynes is conveniently located just minutes from Boston’s Logan International Airport. You have many choices for quickly getting to the Hynes after you land, and it’s easy to get back to the airport to catch your flight when it’s time to return home. Modes of transport include the public transit, Back Bay Logan Express, and taxi cabs.
  • Taxi: Taxi cabs can be hailed from the cab stand across the street from the Prudential Center, located just outside of the Boylston Street entrance to the Hynes.
  • Public transportation: The Hynes Convention Center is accessible via several bus routes and is just steps away from four subway stations: Hynes Convention Center, Copley, and Prudential on the Green line and Back Bay on the Orange line.
  • Driving Directions: The Hynes is located right off Interstate 90 and is easily accessible from I-93 and I-95.
  • There are elevators and escalators at each entrance and throughout the main rotunda to reach all levels of the facility. (Venue floor plan)
  • Restrooms are equipped with accessible stalls.
  • Wheelchair lifts/ramps to access stage(s) are available upon request for speakers and/or guests.

Attending Training, Workshops, and Talks Sessions 

  • More than 60 Virtual Talks and Virtual Workshops will be recorded during the event. Please note: In-Person sessions will not be recorded.
  • If your pass includes access to some / all of the recordings, you will receive instructions for accessing them via email following the conference. Important: Please allow 4-6 weeks for preparation and post-production.
  • Following their sessions, most speakers will share their presentations with us, so that we may share them with you.
  • Throughout and following the conference, we will post links to session slides on our website as we receive them. All available slides will be posted within 2 weeks after the conclusion of the event.

Note: Many of the virtual sessions will also be recorded (slides and audio) and made available to attendees approximately 4-6 weeks after the event. Please refrain from personal recording as speakers may want to edit the recording before release.

  • Access to all sessions is on a first-come, first served basis.* Once you have registered, no further action is required to register for specific sessions.
  • However, you can take steps in order to ensure that you are on time and in the right place including:
    • Picking up your badge early during pre-registration
    • Arriving early to sessions
    • Using the app to view session times and rooms and receive real-time notification of changes
  • Important note regarding Training Sessions: Training sessions will start on time as scheduled, and late arrivals may not be granted access to the room once the session is in progress. Please plan to arrive early.
  • *A limited number of seats in each session room will be reserved for VIP Pass holders.
  • Session prerequisites and downloads will be published on an ongoing basis as we receive them starting 6 weeks prior to the conference on our website and in the app. Please refer to the app for any last minute changes.

IMPORTANT: Some software and materials required for sessions (espec. Training sessions) may include sizeable files and take significant time to download. Please do not wait until you are at the conference to review the prerequisites and downloads.

  • Laptops are not required to participate but many sessions will include work-long portions from which attendees will get the most if they have a laptop.
  • Please make sure your laptop is fully charged. We will make extra outlets available in session rooms, but they may not be accessible from all seats.
  • Wireless internet service is available throughout the Venue via the “Hynes Wireless Network”. No password is required. To make sure that everyone can get maximum access, please avoid heavy downloading and/or multiple device connections.
  • The speaker will have a hard-stop at five minutes prior to the start of the next session.  They may or may not allocate time for Q&A during their session.
  • When a given session is over, we need to turn the room over for the next session. We will have staff escort the speaker away from the front of the room to an area conducive for personal conversation without impacting the start of the next session. Please feel free to follow the staff and speaker to this area, but do not congregate in the front of the room to ask questions.

Registration will take place outside Pre-function Hall A on the Plaza Level of the Hynes starting at the following times:

  • Tuesday, April 19 at 7:30 AM

  • Please keep your badge with you and visible at all times during the conference. While you do not need to recheck in each day, you will NOT be allowed access to the event if you are not wearing your conference lanyard and badge.
  • There will be a $10 charge to replace your badge.

General Questions 

The ODSC APAC Virtual Conference is an event that will take place on a Virtual Platform. All conference presentations are broadcasted via webcast so you can watch from the comfort of your own office or home. You will have the ability to move from presentation to presentation as you see fit, and all the features of an in-person event will still be available (exhibit halls, networking, questions with presenters, downloadable collateral, etc.)

  • ODSC APAC 2022 Virtual Conference will take place on Virtual Platform on September 7th – 8th, 2022. IST (UTC +5:30)
  • ODSC APAC Virtual Conference Sessions begin at 09:00 AM each day. The conference will close at 4:30 PM.
  • September 7th – 8th –  Virtual Exhibitor Showcase & Partners Demo Talks from 09:30 AM to 4:30 PM. IST (GMT +5:30)

Yes, you can upgrade your pass. If you would like to attend more sessions than your pass allows, please use this page or contact info@odsc.com.

An additional 5% discount applies automatically to all orders for groups of  3 or more tickets. If you are a group of 13 or more please contact info@odsc.com for a special discount.

With your Virtual Pass, you can access the Virtual conference at https://live.odsc.com/. Your login is the email address you registered and 2022 as a password.

If you are newly registered, please give us up to 10 hours to set up your account.

  • All of our Sessions will be recorded during the event and will be made available to attendees on Friday, September 9th,  after the event on the live platform (Agenda section) and be present for 12 months on the Ai+ Training Platform 
    after release. Recordings will also include the session slides. 
  • If your pass includes access to some / all of the recordings, you will receive instructions for accessing them via email following the conference.

  • Scholarship Applications are open. Please check our website to apply. 
  • Scholarship passes are not interchangeable and cannot be upgraded.
  • Please note that successfully selected candidates will receive a confirmation email with details 7-14 days before the conference.

Cancellations within 30 days of the event are non-refundable. Cancellations 60 days prior to the will be granted minus an administration fee. Other terms apply as noted in our terms and conditions. Please note: you can only transfer the pass only 1 time per conference or per attendee.

  • The Open Data Science Conference is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone. We reserve the right to refuse entry or remove anyone in breach of this code without refund.
  • Please do not conduct any personal recordings. Once we have a speaker’s permission and the presentation is edited, we will then release content to our conference website.
  • Mute cell phones during all events.
  • No excessive photography.
  • No recruitment or solicitation unless you are with a sanctioned sponsor.
  • In consideration of fellow attendees, no food is allowed in the meeting rooms.

Registration & Logging in to the Virtual Conference

  • Access the Virtual conference with your login – the email address you registered and 2022 as a password. We encourage all attendees to log into the platform before the conference starts to make sure they can log in. If you have trouble logging in, please email info@odsc.com

  • The conference will start daily at 10 am so attendees should be logged into the virtual platform and in their virtual sessions 30 mins earlier.

Attendees will receive an email with login instructions 5-7 days before the event. Please also check the spam folder. We encourage all attendees to log into the platform before the conference starts to make sure they can log in. If you have trouble logging in, please email info@odsc.com

Schedule, Sessions & Conference Passes Information

  • You can explore the speakers, topics, and schedule before the conference here
  • During the conference, you’ll be able to view the agenda once you have logged into the Virtual Conference platform. (password will be shared 5-7 days before the event).

ODSC passes:

Talks Pass – Get access to ODSC Keynotes, ODSC Talks, and Virtual Expo Hall from September 7-8th (WEDNESDAY – to THURSDAY). NO recordings of all breakout sessions, and other virtual events.

All-Access Pass – Get full access to all sessions during September 7-8th (WEDNESDAY – to THURSDAY), Hands-on Workshops & Tutorials, and recordings of all breakout sessions, keynotes, and virtual events.

There will be Q&A Channels (available via Virtual Platform Messenger) for all sessions and attendees will be able to ask questions or make comments.

Attendees can access the breakout talk sessions from the Virtual Conference lobby in the Virtual Agenda. Choose the date, and click the ‘Join’ button under the session you are interested in.

Switch tracks by selecting “Agenda” from the main toolbar and selecting a new session to watch.

  • You can easily access the expo from anywhere in the Virtual Conference by clicking on the “Expo Hall” buttons from the menu bar at the top.

  • The full AI Expo exhibitor list is located inside the Virtual AI Expo. To access it, please enter the Virtual AI Expo Hall.
  • Once inside, the exhibitor list is located in the “Exhibitors Index” box on the lower left side of the screen. 
  • Click on an exhibitor’s name to be brought to their virtual booth to learn more about the company, and save handouts and PDFs to your briefcase.

ODSC will offer a wide variety of networking opportunities:

  • Introductions; Introduce yourself and let the rest of the attendees know what it is you’re looking for. It’s a space where you can discuss what problems you’re facing or what solutions you potentially have for other attendees’ problems.
