Attendee Guidelines

If you a newly registered, it can take up to 10 hours for us to add you to the Virtual Platform. Your login is the email address you registered and 2023 is a password.

General Questions 

  • Some session prerequisites and downloads will be published on an ongoing basis as we receive them starting 6 weeks prior to the conference on our Virtual Platform. Please refer to the #general and #attendee_support channels for any last-minute changes.

IMPORTANT: Some software and materials required for sessions (spec. Training sessions) may include sizeable files and take significant time to download. Please do not wait until you are at the conference to review the prerequisites and downloads.

The ODSC APAC Virtual Conference is an event that will take place on a Virtual Platform. All conference presentations are broadcasted via webcast so you can watch from the comfort of your own office or home. You will have the ability to move from presentation to presentation as you see fit, and all the features of an in-person event will still be available (exhibit halls, networking, questions with presenters, downloadable collateral, etc.)

  • ODSC APAC 2023 Virtual Conference will take place on a Virtual Platform on August 22-23rd, 2023. IST (UTC +5:30)
  • ODSC APAC Virtual Conference Sessions begin at 09:00 AM each day. The conference will close at 4:30 PM.
  • August 22-23rd –  Virtual Exhibitor Showcase & Partners Demo Talks from 09:30 AM to 4:30 PM. IST (GMT +5:30)

Yes, you can upgrade your pass. If you would like to attend more sessions than your pass allows, please use this age or contact info@odsc.com.

Get it here. An additional discount applies automatically to all orders for groups of  3 or more tickets. If you are a group of 13 or more please contact info@odsc.com for a special discount.

With your Virtual Pass, you can access the Virtual conference at https://live.odsc.com/. Credentials will be shared later.

  • All of our Sessions will be recorded during the event and will be made available to attendees on Friday, August 18th,  after the event on the live platform (Agenda section) and be present for 12 months on the Ai+ Training Platform 
    after release. Recordings will also include the session slides. 
  • If your pass includes access to some / all of the recordings, you will receive instructions for accessing them via email following the conference. 
  • Please refrain from personal recording as speakers may want to edit the recording before release.

ODSC will offer a wide variety of networking opportunities:

  • Live Community Chat with different channels
  • Introductions; Introduce yourself and let the rest of the attendees know what it is you’re looking for. It’s a space where you can discuss what problems you’re facing or what solutions you potentially have for other attendees’ problems.
  • Hallway Track: General random conversations between attendees + speakers.
  • Virtual Meetups: A channel dedicated for people to connect, make plans for a group call, and discuss a specific topic + virtual drinks, etc.
  • ODSC Virtual Platform Messenger The value of the platform is an opportunity to meet people ahead of the event, and get to know them. Create unique channels so you can create a mini-community within ODSC.
  • ODSC strives to create an inclusive experience, ensuring underrepresented groups feel welcome in the data science community. As part of this initiative, we’re offering a limited number of Scholarship Passes for ODSC APAC 2023 Virtual Training Conference.
  • Scholarship Applications are open. Please check our website to apply. 
  • Scholarship passes are not interchangeable and cannot be upgraded.
  • Please note that successfully selected candidates will receive a confirmation email with details 7-14 days before the conference.

Cancellations within 30 days of the event are non-refundable. Cancellations 60 days prior to the will be granted minus an administration fee. Other terms apply as noted in our terms and conditions. Please email info@odsc.com, if you would like to transfer your ticket. Ticket transfers may be requested up to 7 days before the conference.

Please note: you can only transfer the pass only 1 time per conference or per attendee.

  • The Open Data Science Conference is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone. We reserve the right to refuse entry or remove anyone in breach of this code without refund.
  • Please do not conduct any personal recordings. Once we have a speaker’s permission and the presentation is edited, we will then release content to our conference website.
  • Mute cell phones during all events.
  • No excessive photography.
  • No recruitment or solicitation unless you are with a sanctioned sponsor.
  • In consideration of fellow attendees, no food is allowed in the meeting rooms.
  • If you have any special needs, disabilities, or dietary restrictions that we can address to make your participation more enjoyable, please contact info@odsc.com

Registration & Logging in to the Virtual Conference

  • It can take up to 10 hours for us to add you to the Virtual Platform. Your login is the email address you registered and 2022 is a password.
  • Please also check the spam folder. We encourage all attendees to log into the platform before the conference starts to make sure they can log in. If you have trouble logging in, please email info@odsc.com

  • The conference will start daily at 10 am so attendees should be logged into the virtual platform and in their virtual sessions 30 mins earlier.

Attendees will receive an email with login instructions 5-7 days before the event. Please also check the spam folder. We encourage all attendees to log into the platform before the conference starts to make sure they can log in. If you have trouble logging in, please email info@odsc.com

Schedule, Sessions & Conference Passes Information

IMPORTANT: Some software and materials required for sessions (spec. Training sessions) may include sizeable files and take significant time to download. Please do not wait until you are at the conference to review the prerequisites and downloads.

  • You can explore the speakers, topics, and schedule before the conference here
  • During the conference, you’ll be able to view the agenda once you have logged into the Virtual Conference platform. (password will be shared 5-7 days before the event).

ODSC passes:

Talks Pass – Get access to ODSC Keynotes, ODSC Talks, and Virtual Expo Hall from August 22-23rd (TUESDAY to WEDNESDAY). NO recordings of all breakout sessions, and other virtual events.

All-Access Pass – Get full access to all sessions during August 22-23rd (TUESDAY to WEDNESDAY), Hands-on Workshops & Tutorials, and recordings of all breakout sessions, keynotes, and virtual events.

There will be Q&A Channels (available via Virtual Platform Messenger) for all sessions and attendees will be able to ask questions or make comments.

Attendees can access the breakout talk sessions from the Virtual Conference lobby in the Virtual Agenda. Choose the date, and click the ‘Join’ button under the session you are interested in.

Switch tracks by selecting “Agenda” from the main toolbar and selecting a new session to watch.


Attending Virtual AI Expo 

  • It can take up to 10 hours for us to add you to the Virtual Platform. Your login is the email address you registered and 2022 is a password.

  • We encourage all attendees to log into the platform before the conference starts to make sure you can log in. If you have trouble logging in, please email info@odsc.com
  • You can easily access the expo from anywhere in the Virtual Conference by clicking on the “Expo Hall” buttons from the menu bar at the top.
    • August 22-23rd –  Virtual AI Expo from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
    • Register for a free pass here.

Visit AI Expo Hall and engage with leading AI solution providers, previously, we featured SAS, S&P Global, Microsoft, Wherescape, and Wise With Data, and learn about the products and solutions that will help you automate machine learning, optimize data science costs, extract more value from data, and much more. Some of the technologies to be showcased: Auto ML, Data Labeling, DevOps, DataOps, Deep Learning, Cloud Computing, Image, Voice, and Facial Recognition.

Join the most influential Data Science community worldwide.

  • The full AI Expo exhibitor list is located inside the Virtual AI Expo. To access it, please enter the Virtual AI Expo Hall.
  • Once inside, the exhibitor list is located in the “Exhibitors Index” box on the lower left side of the screen. 
  • Click on an exhibitor’s name to be brought to their virtual booth to learn more about the company, and save handouts and PDFs to your briefcase.

  • Please find the AI Expo demo talks schedule on the Virtual Conference Platform:
    • Enter the platform using your credentials – Visit Expo Hall: either by clicking the relevant tab in the Menu Bar, or the Expo Hall Entrance. Find Demo Theatre Booths and choose any of them – you will be forwarded to the Demo Talks schedule;
    • Enter the platform using your credentials – Click Agenda in Menu bar, In the drop-down list choose Demo Talks.

Sessions Recordings and Videos

All sessions are recorded and will be viewable on live.odsc.com from Thursday for one week.  Recordings are then transferred to our on-demand platform AI+ Training.  You can access AI+ Training and sign up for a free account and get even more content for free.

Agenda

The agenda for the event can be found on the event platform at live.odsc.com

This is a reference agenda only but it does include links to all live sessions. Please use the user password provided in your attendee email from ODSC to access it.
